A Winter Capsule Wardrobe

Your guide to a winter capsule wardrobe made up of versatile, investment pieces, you simply love to wear.

There are many variations on the Capsule Wardrobe concept, a term coined by Susie Faux, the owner of a London boutique called ‘Wardrobe’ in the 1970s. So what is a capsule wardrobe then? Simply put a capsule wardrobe is a small collection of essential pieces that could be considered timeless in the fast changing world of fashion.

One quite effective way to build a capsule wardrobe is to approach it based on the seasons. The key to planning a seasonal capsule wardrobe is to pick versatile pieces that you simply love to wear. We all have those items in our closet, maybe that one dress that fits us like no other or that go to pair of skinny jeans that we’d wear everyday if we could. When you stop and think about it, many of us only wear a fraction of the clothes we own on a regular basis.

The capsule wardrobe allows us to spend less time and energy on deciding what to wear in the morning, leaving more time and energy for what really matters. Being conscious of spending money on quality items that last will not only benefit your wallet in the long run but also have a positive effect on the environment. We challenge you to create a winter capsule wardrobe; it might just change the way you shop!
