The glitz and the glamour of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week were in full swing with lots of tan, lots of hair, lots of colour and lots of heels! Our director, Rodelle Payne, talks about the highlights of her trip to Sydney.
My number one favourite thing at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week was seeing the kiwis! The very first people we bumped in to at the Camilla AND Marc opening show were Liam Bowden and Steve Boyd from Deady Ponies. This was Deadly Ponies' first-ever appearance at MBFW, it was an honour to be present at their show and view the amazing Resort 19 collection which will be coming to Sisters & Co later in the year!
The shows themselves were wonderful. The Camilla AND Marc opening show was mindblowing, it took 60 tonnes of sand to create the stunning moon crater setting which was out of this world! During the Duskii show, I was delighted to see a plus-sized bottom on the swimwear runway, made me feel like I could do a swimsuit this season! The Hansel & Gretel show was also a favourite - the soundtrack was INSANE and some of the outfits were incredible!
Another highlight was meeting Pip Edwards and Claire from the epic brand that is P.E Nation. We had so much fun chatting to these superstars about everything from fashion to Wanaka! We love them!
