Seven must-pack vacation essentials...

Flights are booked, and accommodation is sorted. With travel on everyone's agenda once again, it's time to plan your outfits and begin packing, ensuring your time abroad is as chic and effortless as can be. Whether a versatile shirt that doubles as a beach cover-up, the essential glamourous sunglasses or comfortable slides to take you from day to night, we have several pieces that will your jet-setting trip a cinch.

The Slide.

No summer escape is complete without the relaxed glamour of a slide. Our favourites come care of Paco Rabanne , Anine Bing and La Tribe - all to perfect pool side or party side.

The Shirt.

A button-up shirt takes up little room in the suitcase and can be worn day or night, from beach to bar. I recommend a striped shirt or two, classic white and even something sheer for dinner. Take an assortment to wear on repeat all European holiday long.

The Tote.

Fantastic to throw everything in, a good tote will truly go the travel distance. Able to carry all your seaside essentials - book, towel, SPF - but chic enough to carry at night, they are as practical are they are stylish. My faves are Paco Rabanne and Proenza Schouler; they fold down to nothing and do city / beach / dinner with ease. Vanessa Bruno also does a great tote for all your essentials.

The Swimsuit.

I always take a couple of one pieces, and then a bikini for all-over tan. It might be tempting to pick something up at the destination, but make the most of the sunny days and poolside action by having them at hand. We like Hunza G, Matteau (fabulous classics) and Ziah, which are also on sale.

The Resort Ready Dresses.

Having 2-5 dresses to throw on with zero effort is key for a successful summer holiday. Breakfast to lunch to cockatils, the right dress will provide comfort and style. Marle, Matteau and Zimmermann have perfect the summer dress that require little thought but look fabulous.

The Sneaker.

An essential for adventuring city streets and shops, you can't leave home without a couple of pairs of sneakers. I always pack a simple white pair and something dressier for fab lunches and dinner dates.

Accessories.

Accessories add the final touch to that holiday look - I always have a couple sunglasses (a black pair and one metal framed), sarongs from Matteau and Marle which double as scarfs and beach cover ups. And top things off with resort-like fabby jewels - think pearls and colour for extra fun.

With a few of these summer essentials, your travel wardrobe will be complete allowing for more time to have fun, be fab, and take in the sights.
