The local Steamers took to the catwalk at the Sisters & Co Christmas party showing off the latest seasons look for Summer 2015/2016.
Key trends see the rise of the shorter chino short cut offs in the light sand and beige, singlets, plain t-shirts and drop crotch pants. Even though the drop crotch pant might not be right for dad it’s definitely a look that is here to stay.
Owner of local menswear store Boys Next Door Logan Payne said its been a key look all through Winter and now heading into Summer 2015/2016.
He said: “The pant is huge right across the board. It all originated from the Zespy Pant from I Love Ugly in denim and it has now graduated to the Militia, which is a cargo style and also the chino style fabric of the Sure Shot pant by Zanerobe which has being flying off the shelves."
"The short sleeve shirt has being extremely popular as well with mini prints being the flavour of the month."
Steamers lock Tim Bond said: “Boys Next Door is our favourite men’s wear store we love coming in and having a beer with Logan. I like the clothes from I love Ugly but I also am pretty keen on the Bassike stuff that he’s just got in – it super comfortable and the trackie shorts are great. Men’s fashion has come a long way and although we are not metro or anything guys are definitely more interested in what they wear.”
